What kind of therapy do I need? There are hundreds of "brands" of therapy on the market. Some of them are more popular and well-researched than others and recommended to treat particular conditions. But the personality of a psychotherapist is no less important factor than a "brand". Make sure that you are comfortable enough with both the particular therapist and the method offered to you. No matter what kind of "brand" you choose, it's the provider who makes it work. The most important thing is to make sure that you are not encountering therapy with hidden or open social and political agendas

Supervision and Case ConsultationsI have cases where my supervision was accepted by CRPO for RP (Q), but it's your responsibility to check my name with them before we start. Also, if you practice in a different jurisdiction where I'm not authorized to conduct clinical supervision, I can arrange a clinical case consultation instead.

Fees and BookingThe initial 15-minute call is free and aims to get to know each other and find out if there is a match. My fee for individual sessions is $165$ per session. Each session is 50 minutes in length, and payment can be made via credit card or Interac e-transfer. I require 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel your appointment as I have a cancellation policy. I have a sliding scale applied to different regions of the world based on local economic factors. For the US my fee is 150$ CAD, for the UK/EU and Russia it's 115$ CAD. Please note that I offer different names for services due to the nature of different local regulations. While in Canada, the UK and Russia I offer psychotherapy, in the US and other regions it's behavioural health consultations.

OHIP or Private Insurance? It's important to note that psychotherapy is not covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP), but some extended insurance policies may provide coverage. Please check with your insurance provider to confirm your coverage.

Do you make a formal assessment? No. Making a formal assessment and written reports of mental health status or personality assessment which might be required for receiving some government services is beyond my scope of practice. As defined in the Psychotherapy Act, 2007, “the practice of psychotherapy is the assessment and treatment of cognitive, emotional or behavioural disturbances by psychotherapeutic means, delivered through a therapeutic relationship based primarily on verbal or non-verbal communication.”

Professional limitationsI'm not working with children, couples and cases of severe addictions. I don't do any formal assessments and diagnostic procedures along with reports for government and related services. I can provide a summary of our treatment for your needs.
