ABOUT ME
ABOUT ME
My professional journey started in Russia, where I was trained as a nurse and later mental health professional. In 2017, we moved to Canada where I had to start from scratch and establish my private practice in Toronto. Working in such a multicultural city with many immigrants enriched my professional and personal experience and helped me to see the world from multiple perspectives, which my clients are generously sharing with me. As an immigrant therapist working in two languages, I bring empathy and cultural sensitivity to my practice. Using evidence-based approaches like Mentalization-Based Treatment (MBT) and Exposure-based Trauma-Focused Therapy, I help clients better understand themselves, work through their struggles, and create meaningful change. Psychotherapy and supervision services are available in both English and Russian.
MENTALIZATION-BASED TREATMENT
I believe deeply in the power of human connection—the source of our well-being. Relationships give us meaning and support, but understanding ourselves and others in social contexts can be complex. That’s where Mentalization-Based Treatment is particularly helpful. It’s a powerful tool that helps people make sense of their minds and the minds of those around them. By building this awareness, MBT strengthens our bonds and boosts resilience, equipping us to face life’s challenges with clarity and courage.

How Treatment Works
1
Initial Phase
During the initial phase, I ask general questions about mental health, life conditions, history of development and significant relationships to get to know you better and tailor the individual approach to your personality and goals for therapy.
2
Planning
Collaboratively, we discuss the shared understanding of your life experience, the difficulties you are dealing with, and goals to achieve in therapy. We make a case formulation which becomes a navigator for our work.
3
Treatment
A dialogue, structured by the therapist according to case formulation and treatment goal through which we explore your experience, make sense of it and adjust behaviour to improve the quality of life and significant relationships.
